Part-Time Mental Health Counselor

Lavender House Counseling is growing from a solo practice into a group practice! Located in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem, we want our practice to develop a reputation for providing exceptional care to both our clients AND staff. One of the ways we’re going to do that is by hiring a team of highly skilled clinicians who are passionate about our mission statement and the work they do.

That’s where you come in!

We are looking for a part-time (12-15 clients a week) mental health counselor to provide both face-to-face and telehealth services. We want your focus to be on the clients you serve, evidenced based interventions you want to develop, and professional collaboration. That way we can focus on supporting you and maintaining a positive work environment.

Please note that a large part of our referral base comes from the local church community so our clinicians will need to be skilled at integrating a faith-based (Christian) perspective upon request. All applicants will be required to provide a diagnostic assessment and treatment plan to demonstrate clinical competency on site as part of your interview. Applicants will also need to discuss how they would use evidence based interventions in a session.

Requirements:

  • Licensed in NC (LCMHC, LCMHCA, LCSW, LCSWA, LMFT, LMFTA, LPA)

  • Work in office at least 3 days out of the week

  • Attend staff meetings in-person

  • Must be willing to be trained in and see clients with anxiety disorders

  • Skilled at integrating faith-based (Christian) perspective along with effective clinical interventions

  • Enjoy working with adolescents and/or children

  • Carry individual liability insurance

Responsibilities:

  • Complete initial intakes and assessments with new clients

  • Create and implement treatment plans using evidence based interventions

  • Complete progress notes within 24 hours

  • Collaborate with LHC team and members of client’s support team outside of LHC regarding client care

  • Maintain client’s chart and required documentation

  • Keep up with administrative tasks (email, phone calls)

Preferences:

  • Strong sense of clinical interests and skill set

  • Able to work independently

  • Experience using CBT

  • Willingness to educate clients and community

  • Full unrestricted license (not provisional)

What we offer:

  • Competitive pay

  • Flexible hours

  • Continuing education credits

  • Advertising and marketing support to help build your caseload

  • On site clinical and administrative support
